Welcome to our digital home. Red Boot PR was established in 2009 by our "Big Kahuna," Laura Goldfarb. Her intention was (and is) to approach music public relations with transparency and positivity, and a nurturing, family-like vibe. In 2014, Examiner.com named us “Best PR For Indie Artists," and in 2016 we received the Best of Venice (California) Award in Media & Entertainment.
For over a decade, Laura Goldfarb has been called a music publicist, writer, entrepreneur, radio host, music journalist, songwriter, social media marketer, artist manager, tour manager, and once, an impromptu human mic stand. She has personally advocated for over 200 artists around the world, helping them turn their career goals into reality and encouraging them to dream even bigger. Outside her roster, Laura supports industry education and mentorship; she’s been an official speaker and mentor at the SXSW Music Conference and Festival for the past three years. In 2017 Laura was given the LA Music Critic Icon Award.
To date, Laura and the Red Boot team have landed an array of placements in notable publications including Billboard, Paste, NPR, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, BuzzFeed, VICE, Refinery29, Indie Shuffle, Entertainment Tonight, Us Weekly, Allure Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Bluegrass Situation and Relix Magazine, among others. While our roots are in Los Angeles and New York, Red Boot is presently stationed in San Francisco, California.
